About The Position

Responsible for writing, creating, maintaining and updating technical documentation for Company. This includes, but is not limited to, user documentation, system manuals, white papers, design specifications or online help. Collaborates with team members to determine subject material and provide accurate information. Follows department standards and templates for documentation. Proficiently utilizes software and tools including Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft Office.

Requirements

  • Up to one year of similar or related experience.
  • Excellent writing and composition skills.
  • Able to plan, organize, and coordinate projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Able to understand and convey technical information.
  • Good analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Creates user documentation for KeyStone including how-to-guides, instruction manuals, charts, graphs, and forms using Confluence or other software programs.
  • Arranges for the production and distribution of documented material.
  • Maintains records via JIRA of documentation progress.
  • Provides input for the documentation roadmap.
  • Periodically reviews documentation and recommends changes.
  • Updates and edits previously documented material as required.
  • Ensures accuracy of changes by conducting research in KeyStone and by consulting existing documentation and subject matter experts when necessary.
  • Writes according to set standards regarding clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Uses proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Consistently utilizes defined styles, format, templates and publication tools.
  • Produces visuals or integrates existing visuals into documentation.
  • Organizes information to facilitate the efficient compilation of the material.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of the KeyStone system.
  • Remains current on product updates and new releases.
  • Maintains system awareness by working directly in KeyStone to develop documentation.
  • Tests new software to ensure it adheres to published capabilities and written documentation.
  • Makes recommendations to improve the KeyStone system.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of Confluence.
  • Utilizes Confluence tools and templates consistently and according to established guidelines.
  • Contributes to major Confluence documentation initiatives.
  • Provides input on Confluence architecture and design.
  • Assists users with basic functionality and troubleshooting using established guidelines and best practices.
  • Collaborates with Education to publish eLearning materials.
  • Confers with employees to determine subject material to be developed for publication.
  • Provides a high level of customer service for documentation requests.
  • Communicates clearly and positively with system users at all times.
  • Ensures timely and accurate responses to questions about documentation.
  • May work with other departments to ensure internal instructions are being properly documented.
  • Stays diligent about honoring deadlines, keeping promises, and maintaining standards.
  • Perform others related duties as required and assigned.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in approach.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
