About The Position

Raytheon's Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a Strategic Extended Threat Shield (SETS) Radar Technical Illustrator. In this role, you will create high-quality illustrations critical to the development of comprehensive Technical Manuals (TMs) for the innovative SETS Radar System. You will collaborate closely with a talented team of writers and illustrators to create operational and maintenance manuals that support the functionality and success of this advanced defense system. This is an opportunity to be part of a team that drives innovation, supports mission-critical programs, and helps protect and connect the world.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Experience with Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Creo View and/or other editing tool programs.
  • Experience with engineering schematics and/or drawings.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the Eagle Publishing System, MIL Standard 40051 or S1000D.
  • Experience with XML and Common PDM.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team, with a strong ability to communicate effectively within a geographically dispersed team.
  • Agile mindset with the ability to pivot when circumstances change, or direction is set.
  • Basis experience with 3D modeling applications.

Responsibilities

  • Development of illustrations for Technical Manuals, including material addressing System functional theory, operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, schematics, and illustrated parts breakdowns from compiled engineering technical reports, drawings, and parts lists.
