About The Position

Primoris T&D specializes in the construction, maintenance, and engineering of electric Transmission, Distribution, and Substation infrastructure. They also offer ancillary services such as wireless telecommunication installation, environmental cleanup, project management, and storm restoration. The Transmission Project Manager I is responsible for overseeing Transmission construction projects from their inception through closeout. This role involves supporting the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to company standards, safety protocols, and customer expectations. The Project Manager I operates under moderate supervision, collaborating closely with internal teams, contractors, and various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • 1–3 years of project coordination or management experience in construction, utilities, or infrastructure.
  • Experience working with project management and analytical tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Power BI, Excel, MS Project, or Primavera).
  • Understanding of construction project lifecycle, progress tracking, and cost management principles.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and other project management tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong commitment to customer needs and project delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Lead the development of project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with project coordinators to manage material and subcontractor procurement, ensure prompt handling of engineering submittals, and address construction requirements efficiently.
  • Monitor project progress and performance through regular updates and field visits.
  • Oversee progress updates, including change tracking and approval of change order requests, to ensure accurate and timely billing of completed work in accordance with the customer’s billing requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project deliverables align with design and operational requirements.
  • Manage and track project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
  • Identify and report project risks, issues, and variances; assist in developing mitigation strategies, corrective actions, and recovery plans.
  • Facilitate progress meetings and provide clear communication across all project stakeholders.
  • Assist in project closeout activities, including timely demobilization, documentation, and lessons learned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
