We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to join our Sun Prairie team. In this role, you will support the full project lifecycle—from preconstruction through closeout—by coordinating subcontractor bidding, proposals, scheduling, documentation, and communication. You’ll work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients while keeping projects organized and moving forward using tools like Procore.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction coordination, supervision, or project management
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation
  • Knowledge of preconstruction processes, permitting, and subcontractor requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Experience with project management software
  • Excellent client-facing communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to travel within Wisconsin for meetings and site visits
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • Experience with project management software (Procore preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Support Regional Manager and Sales/PM teams as needed
  • Evaluate subcontractors and identify new partners in current and emerging markets
  • Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor bids
  • Build and maintain subcontractor distribution lists in Procore
  • Assist Sales/PMs in developing proposal scopes and design-build guidelines
  • Manage bid questions, addendums, and scope clarifications
  • Write proposals for smaller projects
  • Prepare and process change orders
  • Develop milestone schedules and client-facing project calendars
  • Manage project documentation internally and externally through Procore
  • Attend and/or lead pre-bid site visits
  • Coordinate distribution of plans, instructions, and bid documents
  • Participate in internal meetings: architect transfer, civil transfer, scheduling, plan checks, pre-construction, punch list
  • Review door/hardware schedules, finish schedules, and casework drawings
  • Work with clients to develop door keying schedules
  • Coordinate interior design meetings and material/color selections
  • Review shop drawings and manage fixture submittals (plumbing, lighting, etc.)
  • Assist with subcontractor prequalification paperwork
  • Research permit fees and secure required permits
  • Review architectural, MEP, and civil plans for accuracy
  • Coordinate utility applications (gas, electric, phone)
  • Work with supervisors to create job schedules
  • Provide general project administration across departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
