About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Controls Engineer, or related occupation.
• Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Controls Engineer, or related occupation.
• Three (3) years of experience with: C programming; and Embedded controls and controls and software development.
• Two (2) years of experience with: Matlab Simulink; and Electrified vehicles controls, Software, and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality software for embedded controls systems in the electrification space, specifically for High Voltage Energy Transfer.
• Design, develop, and implement Physics and Controls requirements to continuously improve software for mechatronic controls, diagnostics strategies, and controller communication.
• Utilize automated test tools in build environments, test benches, and vehicles to verify functionality at the Controller, System, and Vehicle level.
• Embrace BDD (Behavior Driven Development) and TDD (Test-Driven Development) software development methodologies to ensure Software Built-In Quality, promote early bug detection, and facilitate collaboration between developers, testers, and non-technical stakeholders.
