As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Unit in Sun City Center, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
  • Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals when required.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help support authorized access, visitor direction, and protection of property and equipment.
  • Assist with de-escalation, escort assistance, and other routine security-related duties while maintaining professionalism and respect in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
