About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field or at least 3 years of experience working in a related role.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.
• Ability to use a computer and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License and a driving record that permits insurability under the company’s vehicle insurance.
• Ability to meet the organization’s restraint-use requirements, including sufficient strength and completion of extensive training.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, reach, and walk for periods of time.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds independently.
• Ability to remain alert to problems, needs, or emergencies and maintain a safe environment for clients.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with personnel at all levels, both internal and external to the company.
• Ability to travel to clients’ or students’ homes.

Responsibilities

• Support clients’ efforts toward treatment goals.
• Model and teach appropriate skills and behaviors.
• Implement the 6 R’s strategies when working with clients.
• Use Collaborative Problem Solving.
• Provide individual and/or group mental health services as appropriate to the child’s service plan.
• Document services rendered.
• Attend and participate in staff and treatment team meetings to collaborate with the treatment team.
• Supervise all clients during assigned shifts.
• Engage with client family members, teachers, and school staff in accordance with the service plan.
• Interact professionally and courteously with others and work with clients within TVN’s trauma-informed models.
• Support youth education through tutoring and emotional support as part of daily operations.
• Temporarily assist with transportation when not assigned to other program needs and travel to multiple sites as necessary.
• Provide crisis management services, including proper use of de-escalation techniques and restraints as necessary.
• Perform other duties as required.
