About The Position
AHI, a member of The Baillie Group, is seeking an experienced saw filer to join its team in West Point, Virginia. This is a permanent, full-time position on the first shift. The company emphasizes continuous improvement for its facilities and employees. The role involves sharpening, repairing, and maintaining band saws, as well as maintaining saw shop equipment and facilities.
Requirements
- Must be self-motivated and organized.
Nice To Haves
- Saw shop experience is highly preferred, though the employer may train the right candidate.
- Band mill alignment and maintenance experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Sharpen, repair, and maintain band saws.
- Maintain saw shop equipment and facilities.
- Follow all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Work independently and efficiently while maintaining safety and precision.
