About The Position

Requirements

• Licensed RN with an active license to practice in Illinois
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an RN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
• Must be 90+ miles from the selected facility
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• Corrections experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
• Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological and social needs of the patient.
• Working between various facilities/locations throughout the state of Illinois, per contract needs.
