About The Position

Requirements

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period
• Completes Orientation Checklist
• Obtains/maintains a minimum of 12 contact hours of continuing education annually which includes Fire Safety & CPR/BLS Recertification
• Theoretical knowledge combined with beginning level clinical experience in providing nursing care for a variety of patients
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing with people of varying backgrounds

Nice To Haves

• Progress to the CN II level within one year

Responsibilities

• Directing care for a team of patients
• Using the CN II as a resource
• Independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient’s physical, psychological, and sociocultural needs
• Demonstrating competencies essential in the use of all equipment utilized in the care of patient age groups as indicated
