About The Position
The RN Fellowship L&D Birth Center role is an onsite, full-time night-shift nursing position at UCHealth Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs, in the LDRP PCU North department. The schedule is 72 hours per two-week pay period. Pay is $35.29–$54.71 per hour, depending on relevant experience. Full-time night-shift RNs are eligible for a Night Shift Incentive Program payment of $1,600 quarterly ($6,400 annually). The position provides direct patient care using the nursing process and top-of-scope nursing practice. The role emphasizes multidisciplinary teamwork, wellness, patient perspective, evidence-based care, safety, quality, continued learning, and supporting new healthcare or UCHealth colleagues through precepting. The Women and Infants service includes Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery – Birth Center, Women's Care, and NICU. AWHONN and AACN practice standards and certifications guide evidence-based care, and clinical educators support specialty education, training, and competency validation during clinical orientation. Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited or state board-approved registered/professional nursing program for applicants with less than three years of experience, an RN license, six months of RN experience, C-EFM within one year of hire, and current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross before the start date. The BLS card must remain valid through 60 days after hire; renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if the applicant has less than three years of experience.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Six months of nursing (RN) experience.
- C-EFM certification within one year of hire.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, with card in hand before the start date; card must be valid through 60 days after hire. All renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.
