About The Position
The Patient Care Tech Aide (PCTA) supports patient care at Metro MRI Center by greeting patients and confirming their identification. The role assists in determining the appropriate imaging study and prepares paperwork for technologists. Duties may also include positioning and transporting patients, preparing scan rooms, ordering and maintaining office supplies, and operating office equipment such as copiers, computers, and fax machines.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- CMA or CNA.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding and insurance billing.
- Previous healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and confirm their identification.
- Assist in determining the type of imaging study necessary for each patient.
- Prepare paperwork for technologists.
- Position and transport patients as needed.
- Prepare scan rooms.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Operate office machinery, including copiers, computers, and fax machines.
