About The Position

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.
• Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a PA; or Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).
• Demonstrated written and spoken competence in English language
• Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy
• Committed to delivering on patient and family centred care
• Commitment to a diverse, representative workforce and cultural safety
• Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm

Nice To Haves

• Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset
• Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset
• Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support), is an asset
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate (ACLS) an asset

Responsibilities

• Collect and interpret medical information
• Make appropriate clinical decisions
• Carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS
• May provide services to acute and long term care sites as required
• Standby may be required
