About The Position
Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II in Manalapan, NJ. This position involves collecting specimens from patients and ensuring accurate labeling and processing. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Phlebotomist II will interact with patients and healthcare professionals, providing a high level of customer service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program.
- Certification as a phlebotomist (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
- Experience in phlebotomy.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Additional certifications in related fields.
Responsibilities
- Collect specimens from patients using appropriate techniques.
- Ensure accurate labeling and processing of all collected specimens.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Interact with patients and healthcare professionals in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
