About The Position
ATC Healthcare Northwest is currently seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to work in a correctional setting in the Wilsonville, Oregon area. Requirements
- Current Phlebotomy Certification (where applicable)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
- Minimum of 1–2 years of recent phlebotomy experience
- Proficient in venipuncture and specimen collection for patients of varying ages and conditions
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting; correctional healthcare experience is a plus
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Recent TB Test or Chest X-Ray
- Ability to pass criminal background check(s) and drug screening
- Reliable transportation and smartphone
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection accurately and safely
- Properly label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain infection control and safety standards during all procedures
- Verify patient identity and ensure accurate documentation
- Monitor patients during and after blood collection for any adverse reactions
- Maintain equipment and supplies needed for specimen collection
- Work collaboratively with nursing and healthcare staff to provide quality patient care
