About The Position

APPS Paramedical is one of the largest paramedical companies in the United States, offering nationwide coverage as we complete insurance physicals for people applying for life, health, or disability insurance products. The Western Washington office for APPS is looking for quality medical professionals to help us complete these exams in a timely, professional manner on behalf of the insurance company the policy is being applied. Bilingual Applicants are encouraged. Our independent contractors (ICs) are self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision as they complete quality exams while using their medical know-how. These exams are done on a mobile basis in the home or office of the client and may involve blood draws, medical histories, signatures on packets, vital signs, saliva samples, and 12 lead EKGs. They should be committed to following all compliance policies as well as safety policies and procedures while remaining sensitive to the need for accuracy and confidentiality in the gathering of client information. Depending on the exam requirements, an exam can last anywhere from 15 minutes to a little over an hour.

Requirements

  • Actively practicing phlebotomy with a Minimum of 1 year of work experience.
  • Trained in manual blood pressure and pulse collection.
  • Familiarity with tablets/computers.
  • Reliable vehicle with a valid state driver's License and Auto Insurance.
  • Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant state certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual applicants are encouraged.
  • EKG experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Preferred experience with pediatric and geriatric patients/home health.

Responsibilities
