They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, while providing caring service to patients and customers. Technicians follow company Standard Operating Procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, applicable laws and professional standards, and CVS policies concerning patient safety, controlled substances, recordkeeping, privacy, and security. Where permitted and with required training and certification, technicians may obtain Technician Immunizer status and help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccine questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, respond to and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The position requires regular, predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work shifts at other stores in the market as business needs arise. The role is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour; actual offers depend on factors including experience, education, and geography.
