About The Position

Requirements

• MA/MS/MOT in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program
• NJ OT licensure or eligibility for licensure
• 1-2 years of pediatric OT experience
• CPR certification
• Strong organizational / time management skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well as a team member

Nice To Haves

• Experience with treating sensory processing disorders in an outpatient setting preferred
• Experience working with neurological and vestibular diagnoses preferred, however, willing to train

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the administration of appropriate treatment techniques and modalities for pediatric rehabilitation of children aged birth to 21
• Responsible for adherence to the scope and standards of practice as defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Uses creativity, professional judgment, and problem solving techniques to achieve quality outcomes.
• Participates in patient and family teaching and works collaboratively with other disciplines.
• Plays an integral role in facilitating functional performance through the integration of physical skills, play based activities, social-emotional development, sensory processing, motor performance, and cognitive abilities.
