About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree or bachelor’s degree program in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support and PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred at hire; must obtain the certifications from an approved source before providing direct patient care. ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse.

Nice To Haves

• Recent Emergency Department or Critical Care experience is preferred but not required.
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training is preferred but not required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are preferred at hire, subject to the stated pre-care and six-month requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting as part of an interprofessional team focused on individual patient and population outcomes.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plans of care to facilitate planned and expected outcomes.
• Serve as a point of contact for patients’ care coordination throughout hospital departments.
• Provide care to a broad spectrum of patients, ranging from short-stay patients to trauma patients.
• Administer medications safely in accordance with the State of Practice and organizational policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
