Cath Lab Clinical Nurse Instructor

About The Position
The Cath Lab Clinical Nurse Instructor performs registered nurse duties in Interventional Radiology (IR), Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, the Cardiac Cath Lab, and the EP Lab, as assigned by the department. The instructor serves as the liaison for student clinical affiliations with nursing schools and cardiovascular programs, maintains relationships and contractual agreements with academic institutions, and ensures a robust learning environment that supports the development of competent Cath Lab nurses. The role requires commitment to Sinai Health System’s mission, vision, and values, as well as to the nursing profession.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- At least six months of clinical experience in one of the listed areas; experience preferably in CCU, ED, Adult, Critical Care, or Telemetry.
- Licensed Professional Nurse by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Experience with EPIC and MEDITECH software systems preferred.
