About The Position

The Instructor, Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible for academic and career technical trade instruction using approved curricula. The instructor provides training, basic guidance, and direction to help students achieve their academic and trade goals. The role is based at the New Orleans Point Job Corps Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is full-time, with 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the area of instruction.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

• RN or LPN licensure; a CNA license is also acceptable.
• Experience instructing or supervising in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students regarding behavior, training, personal problems, and study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors and staff as needed to resolve issues affecting student training or instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, and recommend curriculum changes and supplemental materials.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe training environment.
• Participate in student assessment panels and complete required documentation and evaluations using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.
