• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
• Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
• Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
• Nursing diploma is acceptable
• Leadership skills
• Organizational skills
• Facilitation skills
• Research skills
• Presentation skills
• Coordination skills
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to develop and deliver formal education programs
• Knowledge in nursing process and principles of adult learning
• Ability to provide direct patient care
• Knowledge in education and program development, implementation and evaluation
• Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership that is visible, pro-active and provides the delivery of client care through the application of practice standards.
• In consultation with the Obstetrics, Maternal Visiting Program and combined Diabetes Antenatal Clinic, the individual is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating designated educational activities/programs either facility-based and/or region wide.
• Use a consultative approach with evidenced based research to provide support to obstetrics staff.
