About The Position

Manages the preparation, distribution, and inventory of Human Milk (HM) and Donor Human Milk (DHM). This role involves collecting and processing human milk according to established protocols, labeling and storing it appropriately, and maintaining inventory of milk and supplies. The technician is also responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas, monitoring refrigerator and freezer temperatures, and stocking the nutrition room with necessary supplies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computer and software.
  • Exhibit basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret basic medical terminologies.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and processes human milk according to established protocols.
  • Labels and stores human milk in appropriate containers and locations.
  • Monitors and maintains inventory of human milk and supplies.
  • Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas.
  • Monitors daily inventory and orders additional nutrition room supplies as needed, stocks nutrition room with all needed supplies.
  • Monitors refrigerator and freezer temperatures and notifies engineering for assessment of potential/actual problems.
