About The Position

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of manufacturing facilities by performing routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and structural systems. This position requires a hands-on approach to diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment and infrastructure to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The technician will work closely with production teams to identify maintenance needs and implement solutions that comply with safety and quality standards. By maintaining the integrity of machinery and building systems, the Maintenance Technician directly contributes to the overall operational excellence and safety of the manufacturing environment. This role demands a proactive mindset, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to resolve complex maintenance challenges promptly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in plumbing, mechanical repair, electrical wiring, and carpentry.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools effectively.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, and perform manual labor as required.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively talk and hear instructions and safety information.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices in industrial maintenance.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, and structural components to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using precision measuring tools and technical manuals to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
  • Conduct carpentry and drywall repairs as needed to maintain facility infrastructure and support production requirements.
  • Safely climb ladders and access elevated areas to inspect and repair equipment or building systems, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment performance to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to reduce downtime and maintain a safe working environment.
