About The Position
The Lube Technician is responsible for inspecting vehicles, providing recommendations using SLT software, and performing requested maintenance and repairs on customer and company-owned vehicles. This role involves conducting multi-point inspections (MPIs), communicating vehicle condition to service advisors and/or managers, and performing oil changes, lubrication work, and filter checks according to dealership and factory standards.
Requirements
- High School or Technical School diploma.
- Valid driver license and clean driving record.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of previous OEM automotive technician experience.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting vehicles and providing recommendations using SLT software.
- Performing requested maintenance and repairs to customer and company owned vehicles.
- Performing multi-point inspections (MPIs).
- Relaying information about the condition of a vehicle to a service advisor and/or manager.
- Communicating with the Service Advisor to determine the scope of work desired.
- Acknowledging waiting customers.
- Performing a 27-point vehicle maintenance inspection thoroughly.
- Advising a service advisor if services are recommended, or if repairs are needed.
- Performing work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Performing oil changes and lubrication work.
- Checking all filters.
