About The Position

Requirements

• Current and valid LPN license in Michigan
• Proven experience of successful nursing role in a senior living or long-term care environment; most of which should be in a management role
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and the Nurse Practice Act
• Ability to relate positively to residents, their families, employees, and the community at large with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Communication with pharmacies
• Monitor and assess residents' health status, noting any changes and reporting them promptly, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Leading our resident assistants and med techs to ensure superior care (patient assessments, audits, and staff training)
• Supervise and support Caregivers in delivering care
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
