About The Position
Interim Healthcare is seeking a compassionate RN or LPN to provide one-on-one nursing care for a special needs child during their school bus transportation. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working with children and making a meaningful difference in a child's day before the school day even begins.
Requirements
- Current Kansas RN or LPN license
- Current BLS certification
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient
- Comfortable working independently with a child
- Strong communication and safety skills
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric or home health experience preferred
- Experience caring for medically complex children is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one nursing care for a child with special healthcare needs
- Ride the school bus with the child to and from school
- Monitor the child's condition throughout transportation
- Provide medications and treatments as ordered
- Assist with medical equipment and specialized needs
- Respond appropriately to changes in the child's condition
- Communicate with the family, school staff, and healthcare team
- Help ensure the child has a safe, comfortable, and positive school experience
