About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing.
• Licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians.
• Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
• CPR certification.
• Successful completion of HANDLE WITH CARE including restraint and seclusion policies, within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one (1) year as a LPN in psychiatric nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing nursing care to assigned patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Utilizing a basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders in patient care.
