About The Position
The LPN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing.
- Licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians.
- Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
- CPR certification.
- Successful completion of HANDLE WITH CARE including restraint and seclusion policies, within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one (1) year as a LPN in psychiatric nursing preferred.
