About The Position

The Clinic LPN provides patient-centered nursing care within Trinity Health’s outpatient clinic setting under the direction of providers, RNs, and the Clinical Services Manager. This role supports daily clinical workflows by preparing patients for visits, performing point-of-care testing, administering ordered treatments, and assisting with care coordination activities. The Clinic LPN contributes to a positive patient experience by maintaining accurate documentation, supporting clear communication between patients and the care team, and promoting safe, efficient clinic operations. Through collaboration, attention to detail, and adherence to clinical and regulatory standards, this position helps uphold quality care delivery in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.

Requirements

  • Current or temporary LPN license in ND or compact LPN licensure
  • CPR required within orientation period
  • Ongoing Point of Care certifications as required for department required within orientation period
  • LPN as evidenced by licensure
  • One year or more of LPN experience preferred
  • Clinic experience preferred
  • Coding experience preferred
  • May require travel to satellites
  • Computer use
  • Trinity community clinics draw and package lab tests
  • The Clinic LPN frequently stands, walks, bends, and assists patients throughout the workday.
  • The role requires the ability to lift or move light to moderate equipment and supplies, position patients safely, and perform repetitive tasks such as documentation, specimen handling, and medication preparation.
  • Adequate vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and verbal communication are essential for performing clinical procedures and interacting effectively with patients and staff.
  • Work is performed in an outpatient clinic with routine exposure to patients, medical equipment, and occasional contact with blood, body fluids, and infectious conditions.
  • The position requires adherence to standard precautions, PPE use, and infection prevention protocols.
  • The LPN may experience variable patient volumes, interruptions, and changing priorities while supporting multiple providers or clinic areas, and may be required to travel to satellite locations depending on operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake procedures including vital signs, health histories, medication reconciliation, and preparation for provider assessments.
  • Administer immunizations, medications, and treatments as delegated and in accordance with licensure, clinic protocols, and patient safety standards.
  • Complete point of care testing, collect and package laboratory specimens, and ensure accurate documentation and timely transport.
  • Support care coordination by communicating patient needs, assisting with follow up instructions, and reinforcing provider education.
  • Maintain clean, organized clinical areas and ensure equipment, supplies, and exam rooms are prepared for patient care.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems to document care, manage task lists, and support efficient clinic workflows.
