About The Position
At La Salsa Verde, we are a professional taquería focused on quality, speed, and consistency. We’re looking for dependable and hardworking kitchen team members who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of their station. This position includes multiple back-of-house prep roles. Based on experience and business needs, you may be assigned to: Dishwasher / Sanitization (Sanitización): Dishwashing, strict cleanliness, organization, and maintaining high kitchen standards Cold Line (Línea Fría): Food assembly, prep support, stocking, and maintaining optimal production flow All kitchen prep team members are cross-trained and expected to support each other during service.
Requirements
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
- Ability to work in hot, fast-paced kitchen environments
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
Nice To Haves
- Proven previous kitchen, prep, or restaurant experience
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation
- Ability to multitask and maintain urgency during peak hours
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and support kitchen production
- Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift
- Wash dishes, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
- Support Taqueros and kitchen leadership during service
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
