The University of Southern California, Department of Animal Resources is seeking a very reliable, dependable, self-motivated and responsible individual for a position as Animal Laboratory Technician. The Department of Animal Resources provides optimal animal care for all animals housed at the university for biomedical research and teaching. Animal Laboratory Technicians are responsible for daily animal care, facility cleaning and sanitation, documentation of environmental conditions, and daily animal health and welfare observations, ensuring procedures adhere to regulations and guidelines. The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and to be on your feet for the majority of the day. Technicians must work on a schedule and be punctual. Animal care is provided every day, including weekends and holidays, across both the Health Sciences Campus and University Park Campus, which may involve scheduled rotations between campuses and working on weekends and holidays as assigned by a supervisor, in accordance with departmental standard operating procedures.
