About The Position
Chem-Plate Industries is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A Truck Driver to join our team. If you have a clean driving record, enjoy working independently, and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, we encourage you to apply. The Truck Driver is responsible for the timely pickup and delivery of materials to and from customer locations while maintaining safety, professionalism, and compliance with all transportation regulations.
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL
- Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to make sound decisions and work independently
- Flexible and adaptable to changing job duties
Nice To Haves
- Diesel repair certification or equivalent work experience
- Ability to repair power equipment
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver products to and from customer locations efficiently and safely
- Complete pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle readiness
- Properly position and drop trailers at loading docks
- Complete all required paperwork and delivery documentation
- Report trip delays, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately
- Verify load weights and compare against Bills of Lading (B.O.L.)
- Comply with all traffic laws and company safety policies
- Maintain trailer cleanliness, including sweeping trailers at the end of the day
- Represent Chem-Plate Industries professionally at all customer locations
