About The Position

We are seeking dedicated and dependable Home Health Aides (HHA) for permanent, long-term positions. This role is ideal for individuals ready to work consistently, stay active, and manage ongoing client cases with flexible daily shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours. We are looking for candidates who are not only flexible but also genuinely committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care on a continuous basis. Most clients are located in Cleveland's Westside suburbs, requiring caregivers to be willing and able to commute up to 35 minutes within the area. We value compassionate, reliable caregivers and offer a supportive environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one (1) year of documented home care assistance and/or direct care experience at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, etc.
  • Certified CPR.
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance (proof of insurance is required).
  • Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Ability to adhere to HIPAA and ensure confidentiality and security of client's medical information.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively.
  • Up-to-date vaccinations including COVID-19, Influenza, and Hepatitis B.
  • Willingness to travel within 35 minutes across the Westside suburbs of Cleveland.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of a nursing assistant or certified home health aide program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
  • Monitor and report changes in client condition.
  • Follow care plans and communicate with case managers.
  • Provide client-facing care as assigned.
  • Assist with daily tasks such as feeding, linen changes, providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping.
  • Assist clients with active and passive mobility work as defined by the plan of care.
  • Document observed changes to the Director of Nursing.
  • Adhere to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency.
  • Adhere to HIPAA laws and ensure confidentiality and security of client's medical information.
