Responsibilities

• Provides histology services as needed to support outpatient surgical and procedural operations.
• Prepares tissue specimens for routine and special procedures that aid in confirming patient diagnoses, including processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining surgical and biopsy specimens.
• Works in accordance with established laboratory protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Supports laboratory needs based on variable scheduling, specimen volume, and operational demand.
• Works under the supervision of laboratory or departmental leadership.
• Requires flexibility to work variable shifts based on outpatient surgical schedules and coverage needs.
