About The Position

Exciting opportunity to work on innovative NAND Flash products for AI infrastructure Hardware develop for next-generation products in the Emerging Technology Solutions group

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s in EE or CE
  • 7+ years (BS), 5+ years (MS) experience in NAND flash–based or related hardware design in SSD
  • Deep understanding of high-speed digital design (PCIe Gen5/Gen6, DDR5, LPDDR5x).
  • Proficient in schematic design (Cadence OrCAD/Allegro or equivalent) and system-level debug.
  • Experience with power delivery networks, SI/PI simulation, and thermal design tradeoffs.
  • Proven track record in prototype bring-up, validation, and design qualification.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PCIe and CXL, Gen6 switch devices, or AI acceleration platforms.
  • Familiarity with firmware/hardware interaction and hardware prototyping.
  • Background in SSD manufacturing, qualification, or customer/OEM enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SSD hardware design from schematic and layout through bring-up, validation, and qualification.
  • Own the form factor PCB design, including component selection, high-speed signal routing, power delivery, and mechanical integration.
  • Collaborate with ASIC, firmware, mechanical, and system teams to meet performance, thermal, and reliability requirements.
  • Develop and execute bring up, validation and debug plans using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with PCIe, ESD, EMI and power management standards for next-generation NAND Flash products.
  • Drive DOE and FA activities to improve product performance and yield.
  • Interface with manufacturing, supply chain, and qualification teams to ensure seamless product transition to mass production.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, and contribute to best practices for high-speed design, layout, and validation.
