About The Position

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner License (Required).
• Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required.
• Proficiency in comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation.
• Excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in an Article 28 facility setting.
• Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within the NP scope of practice.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
