About The Position

About Enterhealth Enterhealth is a leader in behavioral health and integrative medicine, providing comprehensive treatment that addresses substance use disorders, mental health, and co-occurring medical conditions. Our multidisciplinary approach combines psychiatric care, primary care support, and whole-person wellness to improve outcomes and support long-term recovery. We are seeking a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) who is passionate about whole-person care and thrives in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Position Overview The Dual-Certified NP will provide both psychiatric and primary care services to support patients with complex behavioral health and medical needs. This role supports continuity of care across mental health stabilization, medication management, and general medical oversight within a recovery-focused setting. This is a part-time contract role designed to support clinical coverage and enhance integrated care delivery. START IMMEDIATELY.

Requirements

  • Active Texas APRN license
  • Board certification as PMHNP and FNP
  • DEA license and prescriptive authority in Texas
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (behavioral health preferred)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered care approach

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in addiction medicine or substance use treatment
  • Experience in residential or intensive outpatient settings
  • Familiarity with integrative or holistic care models

Responsibilities

  • Psychiatric Care (PMHNP) Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments
  • Diagnose and treat mental health and co-occurring disorders
  • Manage psychotropic medications and monitor effectiveness
  • Collaborate with therapists and care teams on treatment planning
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support as needed
  • Primary Care & Medical Support (FNP) Perform medical assessments and address general health concerns
  • Monitor chronic conditions and overall physical health
  • Order and interpret labs and diagnostic testing
  • Provide preventative care and patient education
  • Support medical clearance and continuity of care
  • Integrated Care & Collaboration Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Support whole-person recovery and wellness goals
  • Document care in accordance with regulatory and clinical standards
  • Promote safe, ethical, and evidence-based practices
