About The Position
Briotix Health is seeking a part-time, non-exempt Industrial Sports Medicine Professional to provide onsite services at a warehouse in Elkton, Virginia. The role focuses on supporting employees through injury prevention, early discomfort management, musculoskeletal care, and ergonomic solutions. The professional serves as an expert in job functions and technical task analysis, maintains an understanding of functional body movements and discomforts, and follows established OSHA First Aid standards and guidelines. This position is part of Briotix Health’s Industrial Sports Medicine Service line and collaborates with company stakeholders and client contacts. It involves building relationships with client employees, delivering prevention education and training, and providing onsite care for work- and non-work-related discomforts. Depending on client requirements, services may also include Functional Employment Testing, Return to Work/Stay at Work Services, ergonomic assessments, or clinical solutions. Detailed reporting and timely documentation in Briotix Health’s designated web-based system are required. The position averages 10 hours per week, onsite 1–2 days per week. Available schedule formats include one 10-hour day, two 5-hour days, or a split day; the final schedule may be adjusted based on candidate availability and client coverage needs. A $1,000 one-year retention bonus is offered.
Requirements
- Education in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
- Appropriate certifications and/or a state license in good standing in each state where services are provided.
- Current CPR certification, such as CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, BLS Healthcare Provider, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge of musculoskeletal injury care.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of onsite work, including lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds and frequent standing, walking, sitting, and/or squatting; reasonable accommodations will be considered.
Nice To Haves
- Ergonomic certification or training.
- 1–2 years of previous experience in industrial or office ergonomics, industrial sports medicine, functional employment testing, or job task analysis.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite services at one site location in Elkton, Virginia.
- Create and maintain positive relationships between Briotix Health and client contacts.
- Initiate and establish professional, engaging relationships with client employees.
- Provide education and training for individuals and groups focused on injury and illness prevention.
- Provide onsite care and management of work- and non-work-related discomforts.
- Maintain knowledge of OSHA health and safety practices and follow established OSHA First Aid standards and guidelines.
- Understand, implement, and follow all steps of the Early Discomfort Management (EDM) program.
- As required by the client, provide Functional Employment Testing, Return to Work/Stay at Work Services, ergonomic assessments, or clinical solutions.
- Prepare detailed and timely reports for each service completed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Briotix Health’s designated web-based system.
- Follow the safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards applicable to each worksite.
- Adhere to Briotix Health company policies, practices, and government regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
