About The Position

This posting is to express interest in attending a Leadership Networking event on August 13th, in Downtown Toronto, for Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager positions throughout the Greater Toronto Region. Attendance is by invitation only, and qualified registrants will receive a formal invitation via email. As a Branch Manager, you will be a local market leader, motivating and coaching your team to create a memorable client experience, capitalizing on market opportunities, and acting as an RBC Ambassador. You will build relationships, encourage collaboration, and steward digital enablement. As an Assistant Branch Manager, you will motivate and coach a high-performing team of Advisors, establish and achieve team objectives, increase team skills and capabilities, enable digital education and usage, and promote problem resolution. You will also build relationships and encourage collaboration with RBC partners and support the ongoing development of your team.

Requirements

  • Mutual Funds accreditation (IFIC or CSC) and minimum 2 years of licensed mutual funds sales experience within the last 3 years
  • Completed an acceptable mutual fund branch management exam offered by the CSI, or ability to write an exam within 4 months of start date
  • Minimum 3 years in a people management role
  • Entrepreneurial business acquisition mindset
  • Ability to employ digital channels, drive client awareness, and ensure your team is enabling clients with RBC digital access
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a people management/coaching role within the financial industry
  • Proven success in business growth, as well as establishing community and client relationships
  • At least 2 years of licensed mutual fund sales experience within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

  • Deliver results and support new client acquisitions through multiple channels, including your own team and local partners
  • Lead change and allocate resources to meet the needs of the community, growing sales, revenue, and market share
  • Ensure high employee engagement through recruiting, talent management, development, and career planning
  • Coach your team on client advice and education, problem resolution and prevention at first point of contact, and advocate for digital enablement and multichannel usage
  • Take appropriate actions to close gaps identified through operational, credit effectiveness, and compliance reviews and reports
  • Ensure high employee engagement through talent management, development and career planning
  • Deliver results through strong sales management routines and coaching ability
  • Partner with your manager to ensure operational effectiveness of the branch and maximize the performance of the team
