About The Position

Requirements

• 2+ years of estimating experience in general contracting or construction
• Must be able to generate own Leads for residential and commercial work.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar)
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and subcontractor trades
• Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for client and vendor interaction
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing
• Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and project scopes to develop detailed bid packages
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure best value
• Conduct site visits and assessments to identify potential project challenges and cost factors
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and clients throughout the pre-construction phase
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical data, and estimating software
• Track bid results and assist in post-bid analysis to improve future estimates
