About The Position

Requirements

• 3–5 years of heavy equipment operating experience
• Experience operating dozers, excavators, trackhoes, or similar heavy equipment
• A valid driver’s license
• Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
• Ability to work safely around people, traffic, and active jobsites
• Takes pride in maintaining equipment and doing quality work
• Communicates well with crew members and supervisors
• Shows up on time and is ready to work each day
• Wants to continue learning and growing in the heavy civil construction industry

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy earthmoving equipment and support grading operations on active jobsites.
• Operate equipment such as dozers, excavators/trackhoes, and other heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment safely around crews, traffic, and active jobsites.
• Perform grading and sitework activities on heavy civil construction projects.
• Prepare and stabilize soil and other materials.
• Clean and prepare jobsites.
• Dig trenches, support excavation work, and clean debris as needed.
• Maintain equipment and keep it in good working condition.
• Communicate with your crew and supervisor to meet safety, production, and quality goals.
• Assist with other duties as directed by the site supervisor.
