About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least three years of hands-on electrical experience in commercial, industrial, hospitality, or similar settings, and/or successful completion of an accredited electrical trade school program or electrical certification.
• Practical experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Valid driver’s license; employees operating Broadmoor vehicles must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office tools for documentation and email communication.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple assignments, and respond effectively to operational and guest-service needs in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong communication skills, negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities, and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds with assistance and proper safety practices.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the event calendar.

Nice To Haves

• Strong working knowledge of electrical safety practices, tools, testing equipment, and applicable electrical codes is preferred.
• Basic electrical systems knowledge, including safe installation, troubleshooting, and repair of outlets, switches, receptacles, and related wiring components, is identified for Electrical Technician I.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest and customer concerns, resolving electrical and maintenance-related issues in a timely manner.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical panels, conduit, wiring, and associated systems in compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
• Assist Convention Services with electrical setups, troubleshooting, and event-related operational needs.
• Plan, perform, and document periodic electrical testing and inspections; recommend and implement equipment modifications or replacements when systems do not meet operating standards.
• Work with Housekeeping to diagnose and resolve lighting and electrical issues in guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for electrical supplies, tools, and equipment, and conduct shop inventories as directed.
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe and reliable facility operations.
• Follow company safety policies, electrical codes, Engineering procedures, and institutional standards; maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
