About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or software engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in propulsion system controls, software, or calibration.
• Knowledge of internal combustion engine controls, including startability, open- and closed-loop fuel control, emissions reduction, and aftertreatment methods.
• Proficiency with vehicle interface and data analysis tools such as INCA, Indicom, Concerto, and Vehicle Spy.
• Strong programming skills.
• Passion for innovation.
• Ability to work autonomously with limited direction from leadership.
• Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink.
• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and decision-makers.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or software engineering.
• At least 5 years of tailpipe emissions calibration experience.
• Experience coding in C for embedded software.
• Experience with embedded software development tools such as Git/Gerrit.
• Understanding of rapid prototyping platforms such as ETAS and d-SPACE.
• Understanding of Global B/VIP/SDV electrical architecture.
• Experience successfully leading large, ambiguous projects.
• Familiarity with simulation tools such as GT Power Suite, Amesim, and GMSIM.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support a team executing Advanced Technical Work (ATW) projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Support the development of control methods and controller software code.
• Develop calibrations for ATW projects to demonstrate the system's ability to meet project goals.
• Verify control methods and software on SIL/HIL test benches, an engine start cart, or development vehicles.
• Perform emissions testing on an engine start cart, engine dynamometer, or vehicle to demonstrate that system performance meets project requirements.
