Embedded Software Engineer
About The Position
EFJohnson Technologies, a subsidiary of JVCKENWOOD Corporation, provides wireless communications products and systems for public safety, commercial, government, and industrial customers. Its product lines include conventional and trunked radio systems, land mobile radio repeaters, and mobile and portable radios, including Project 25 digital radio products. The Embedded Software Engineer joins a software development team of approximately 50 members in Lincoln, Nebraska. The team develops application and embedded software for the EFJohnson radio product line. The role develops and maintains embedded software for subscriber and infrastructure products, with opportunities in embedded Linux and DSP development. Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player.
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with C/C++.
- Embedded software development experience.
- Intermediate-level knowledge of development tools, test equipment, and documentation procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software for EFJohnson’s subscriber and infrastructure product lines.
- Develop requirements and protocol documents for new and existing products.
- Provide technical support on subscriber products to resolve design and field issues.
- Identify and correct defects in existing products.
