About The Position
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will join a specialized team focused on large power transformer design, developing reliable solutions for evolving market needs. The role involves complex engineering challenges and collaboration with experienced professionals across disciplines, from concept development through customer delivery. The engineer may lead initiatives, contribute to design strategy, and drive continuous improvement while developing technical expertise and using advanced design tools and simulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical design, ideally within the power transformer industry.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and engineering documentation.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently when needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or 3D design tools such as Creo.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and evaluate complex electrical systems and transformer components.
- Develop manufacturing drawings, customer documentation, and bills of materials.
- Create models and simulations to solve engineering challenges.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous product improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with market and sales strategies.
- Lead or support technical investigations and implement engineering solutions.
- Engage with customers to resolve technical issues and strengthen relationships.
- Prepare specifications, proposals, and technical reports while supporting approvals.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
