About The Position

Tipping Point Solutions, Inc is seeking an Instructional Designer – Senior for a local position supporting the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (USAICoE) on-site at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The Instructional Designer will provide support through the Commandant to the Director, Training Development Division Requiring Activities (RA). Job Summary Serves as a tactical and strategic instructional design member, providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in the development of innovative, effective, and engaging learning solutions. Applies advanced Instructional Design methodologies, including adult learning theory and emerging best practices, to produce scalable courseware for resident, remote/virtual, and blended learning environments. Maintains competency on changes in educational research and emerging evidence-based trends in education, relevant to education and training conducted by the Intelligence Center of Excellence. Leads complex training initiatives and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure learning programs align with organizational goals and mission outcomes. Provides guidance and direction to Instructional Designers - Intermediate (as needed), providing constructive feedback and guidance to foster growth in instructional design principles and best practices within the Training Development Division, Directorate of Training and Development.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Clear initial Background check before start.
  • Must be able to receive Interim Secret within 3-6 months and receive/maintain a TS/SCI within first year.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
  • Completion of at least 12 semester credits focused on educational research, learning theory, education technology, instructional design, or other related education themed courses. Courses focusing on the administration or fiscal requirements of education related organizations do not count towards the credit requirement.
  • 4-6 years of experience in education or as an educator/instructor at the high school (9-12), higher education, or military environment level.
  • Experience addressing adult education in resident/in-person learning programs, activities, and curricula using a variety of modalities to enhance learning.
  • Familiarity with the ADDIE model (commercial or military application).
  • Applied knowledge of Bloom’s Taxonomy to instructional design products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Support onboarding and training new team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
  • Experience as a professional military instructor and/or training developer.
  • Experience in designing virtual or online course materials

Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional design and training development guidance following the ADDIE model.
  • Lead the design and development of comprehensive learning programs, including properly scaffolded terminal and enabling learning objectives, content outlines, assessments, and performance support tools.
  • Participate in front-end and performance gap analyses with the ADT to identify learner needs and optimal instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, Training Developers, Project Leads, Program Managers, and Key Stakeholders to design training solutions.
  • Direct and guide instructional designers and content developers across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Facilitate and implement design standards, templates, and quality assurance processes.
  • Lead the design of formative and summative assessments aligned with learning objectives and mission-critical tasks.
  • Communicate effectively within the Army training environment and across cross-functional teams.
  • Stay current on trends and research in instructional design and technology.
  • Design and provide Professional Development training modules for the Instructional Design team as required.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required and directed by supervisor.
