About The Position
ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a nonverbal young man, 26 years old, in the Bridgeport, NY area. The role involves providing Respite services and assisting the individual with personal care tasks and community engagement. The individual enjoys activities in the community, including visiting parks for walks. This is a per diem position with flexible hours, approximately 25 hours per week, with specific hours on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm. The pay rate is $22.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Effective communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy
- Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be completed prior to hire
