About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university majoring in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• One to Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledgeable in the areas of industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC machine controls, robotics, blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement techniques

Responsibilities

• Support and direction of maintenance technicians in repair of equipment.
• Optimization of production equipment and automation.
• Hardwire design, programming, and commissioning of automation systems and production equipment.
• Use of CAD, PLC, HMI, vision, motion, and robotics software for machine support, design, and commissioning.
• Specification and procurement of hardware and equipment.
• Design and evaluation of safety systems.
• Installation of production equipment and automation including direction of resources.
• Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Plan and direct engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
• Directs and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
• Evaluate field installations and recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
• Provide supervision of 2-10 internal skilled trades labor and external contractors. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, directing work, and appraising performance. Assists in interviewing and recommends hiring of new job candidates.
