Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect (Microsoft Fabric & Azure)

About The Position
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect with strong Microsoft Azure expertise and exposure to Microsoft Fabric. This is a part-time advisory and hands-on role focused on designing, optimizing, and supporting modern cloud data architecture.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Experience designing enterprise-level data architectures.
- Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and visualization.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time advisory capacity.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable Azure-based data solutions.
- Work extensively with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory and related data services.
- Support and guide implementation within Microsoft Fabric environments.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models.
- Collaborate on reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI.
- Provide architectural guidance, best practices, and mentorship (Fabric trainee-level support as needed).
- Participate in a monthly onsite session (~2 hours) in Southern California.
